Schmittenhöhe

The Schmittenhöhe is and will always be one of the most beloved hiking aims for many people. The cable cars are activated since may for you to bring you up. A sunrise-hike is highly recommended, where you will leave the nightly damp over Zell am See behind you while you go near the sunny summits by cable car. Arrived at the top, you won’t feel that much summer at first – at 2000 meters it’s quite cold in the early morning. This will change very fast during your first steps of the hike over the “Pinzgauer Spaziergang”. Your view is falling on several glaciated summits of High Tauern. More than thirty 3.000 can be seen from there. We guarantee you, this view will excel all your expectations of hiking in Zell am See. Also most of the huts will be catered in June and will spoil you with various delicious specialities of the region.
