THE GLACIER
The Gipfelwelt 3.000 is only one part of what the Kitzsteinhorn has to offer in the summer. Some want to go all the way up to TOP OF SALZBURG, Salzburg's highest viewing platform. Others, on the other hand, go hiking and have a national park ranger show them the best views of the Hohe Tauern. Athletes are on their way by mountain bike and enjoy three MTB freeride trails on the Kitzsteinhorn. The GLACIER, a highlight not only in the winter, also in summer great experiences are awaiting you up to 3.000 m above sea level.
THE MOUNTAIN
The Schmittenhöhe, local MOUNTAIN of Zell am See and a very popular excursion destination. The gondola, which takes you up to over 2.000 m above sea level, can be reached in walking distance in a few minutes from the Hotel Grüner Baum. And then this view: over 30 three-thousand-metre peaks can be seen from Schmittenhöhe. Choose one of the many hiking trails on the Schmitten or stroll along the panorama promenade. Stop off and look forward to the pleasure and cosiness of a mountain hut.
THE LAKE
Let's come to No. 3, the Zeller LAKE, the unmissable highlight of your summer holiday. You step out of the Hotel Grüner Baum and after a few minutes of walking you are faced with the choice: cosy hours in one of the beach baths, a round with the e-bike along the lake promenade or with the excursion boat or water sports while swimming, sailing, surfing or stand-up-paddling? Many top athletes swear on Zell am See-Kaprun and meet every summer at the IRONMAN 70.3.
