"The best way to reach "The Mountain" is with the Porsche Design gondola, which takes you in a few minutes to the summit station on the Schmittenhöhe. With top views of Lake Zell or up to thirty 3.000m peaks, your hiking heart will beat faster.
SCHMITTENHÖHE
The valley station of the cable car is quickly reached from the Hotel Grüner Baum, even without a car, because it remains in the hotel's own underground car park. After a panoramic drive up with the Porsche Design gondola, you are at the top and have the choice of numerous beautiful hiking trails. You walk comfortably along the high promenade towards Sonnkogel, while you have to prove your fitness on the Pinzgauer walk. There is something for every taste.
GLACIER WORLD KITZSTEINHORN
If you set off on a hike into the glacier world of the Kitzsteinhorn, you will enter the exciting world of the Hohe Tauern. With high alpine temperatures and rough terrain, it is a good idea to join a guided hike. Guides and rangers will also take you to the Gipfelwelt 3000, where unbelievable views and a lot of interesting facts about the Hohe Tauern National Park are waiting for you. The family mountain Maiskogel offers more comfortable hiking trails and great tours for the whole family.
